Birmingham:Perkins:Thornton:Chater.
« on: Thursday 11 December 14 18:43 GMT (UK) »
I am seeking any descendants from Georgiana Perkins b.1867, Albert Edward Perkins b.1865, Harriet Thornton 1836-1897 & Mary Ann Chater 1841-1883.  All originated from the Perkins in Birmingham 1845-1890.

Have you looked at the 'Surname Interests' link at the bottom of this page to see if anyone else is researching.  You can also add your names to this in case anyone is looking in the future

Have you identified who they married and what children they had in the censuses, so that you have more names to work with - assuming they did have children?

Are you descended from any of them?

Hi Chempat, thanks for your reply.  The answer is yes & yes.
So if you want us to help you research what descendents there are, you will need to share with us what info you have already found, so we dont spend time duplicating the effort.
Sounds like at least one line you have down to the present day - if it leads to you!

Hi "Lizdb", yes sorry for my vague question & answer.  Georgiana Perkins married Henry Langley in 1887 in Birmingham.  They had six children, three girls & three boys.  It is from these that I would like to find descendants.  Harriet Perkins married William Thornton in 1855 in Birmingham.  They had 11 children and again it is from these that I seek descendants.  Mary Ann Perkins married William Chater in 1859 in Birmingham.  They had one boy & three girls.  Finally Albert Edward Perkins b.1865 in Birmingham is in the 1871 census, but nowhere thereafter!  It is living relatives that I am looking for, if possible.  Thanks again for your interest.

Rootschat has a no living persons policy - so we cant help once we get down to people who might still be alive. Presumably you have followed the various children you mention (6 Langleys, 11 Thorntons and 4 Chaters) via FreeBMD to see if there are obvious marriages and children for them? And looked for Wills for those who have died - they are a great source for listing descendents.

Fair comment.  I was hoping that living relatives might see my messages and get in touch.
