FindMyPast subscription £10 for year

Bad luck - I've only just found this thread and so missed out!    I certainly couldn't see anything on the subs page that was talked about on page 1.   

- though maybe it didn't apply outside UK??

I've used the "report to moderator" facility to ask the mods if they will amend the original title to reflect the fact the discount on the annual sub would appear to have been an error and it was only on the monthly sub.  There doesn't appear to be a dedicated mod for the Common Room so I hope one picks up the request, it may stop a lot of the posts saying it doesn't work.

The last few pages of this thread clearly indicate that its not now working on the annual sub, and hasn't been since before 3pm yesterday.  I appreciate there are a lot of posts but even the last few posts indicate the discount code is only working on month subs not annual.

Not sure Wiggy, but it looks as if it has been withdrawn now anyway. If it was offered in error, I expect someone is feeling very embarrassed now as they have probably lost quite a bit of money as it was such a good offer.

Someone posted on FindMyPast's Facebook page that the code wasn't working and got a reply from them saying it was only off the month sub.

So it does look like whoever set up the discount code applied it to the annual subs in error.

I have just tried the code and managed to get FindMyPast for a month for £1, I am happy with that. 

I have subscibed to Ancestry for several years, but this year I have been using FindMyPast at my county records office for free, I also registered myself for the free weekend FindMyPast offered over Halloween. My strategy now is to jump on these bargain offers whenever they come up as having access to more than one of the big subscription sites really helps with the research.

Once the month is up, I will still be registered to FindMyPast and will just wait until the next deal.

Thanks to Roots Chatters I managed to get BNA at £40 (half price for a year) about a month ago.
