Has anyone been refunded And told it was a mistake?

Not sure if they can do that, as I have an e-mail which says it is a receipt for the £10 for 1 year Britain subscription, so presumably that is a contract. If I tried to cancel I doubt if they would refund the money.

I give up, FindMyPast are just not playing nice 

rolnora, if you read some of the recent posts you will find that the offer appears to have been withdrawn amended because it should have been against the month sub not the annual.

Yes it works for the monthly but the topic says annual.  This is where the problem lies.  The topic title either needs amending or something added to say that it is monthly only as people seem to still not be reading recent posts and thinking its for the annual sub.

It might reduce the number of negative comments about it.

Edit - there have been people posting on FindMyPast's Facebook page in the last hour asking where the annual offer is.

Offers like this by their nature have a limited time, and as many people discovered they were able to take up this brilliant offer of £10 for an annual subscription. Even the £1 sub for a month is a great deal.

Yes I think you'll find it was an error on the annual sub rather than a limited time offer, but I agree the £1 for a month is a good offer too.

Especially as they dont seem to have closed the loop that lets you keep adding a £1 month.   Add a month for £1.  Do it again, and again.  It keeps letting you.  Try it before they realize ;-)
