A bad PR move, this debacle could do FindMyPast more harm, and in the long term cost them more financially than if they had honoured the purchases.  Many customers have felt let down and disappointed with FindMyPast since April, this latest fiasco will add to those figures.

There was no offer for a 12 month sub for £10.00, you all just took advantage of an error on their system and some of you repeatedly did this.

At the time though we didn't know it was an error. When I went to the website it clearly said that a year's subscription would cost £10, so I entered into the contract in good faith. I also only did it once.

the ad is irrelevant, their T&Cs are not.
