hi , I am trying to trace back my fathers family , his mother was Mary Elizabeth Gloag . born in perth Scotland she then came to Manchester where she met and married William Morris from Welshpool Wales , I know on her fathers death certificate her father was a stagecoach builder . please can anyone help with my search ....

Are you sure she was born in Perth?  There is this birth which was also in Prestwich as was the marriage

Mary Elizabeth Morris aged 80  born 13.12.1893
Date of death reg   December 1973   Bury Vol 10b Page 2198

Her birthdate fits with a March 1894 birth registration.  Many births in December were only registered after the New Year so fell in the first qtr of the following year
