Another article in the Globe and Mail about the father... very interesting. May 12, 1933, page 11. I will get back to him in a moment. Mentions son Lindsay who is at present a Professor of Forestry at the University of Washington... so we might have to look at American records... The other son, William, is in business in Regina.
Back to the father. It says that he is a member of the Governor General's Body Guard. He has been a veterinary surgeon in Peel County for 40 years. He was an Orangeman. He received his commission in the GGBG when he was 60. He signed up for WW1, and was attached to the militia transport at the Niagara Camp. Later, he was transferred to Valcartier as an inspector. He is descended from 2 families of UELs. He was born on the 5th line of Chinguacousy. His father emigrated from Newton Stewart, Ireland over 100 years ago. His mother belonged to the Graham family of Derry West. As a vet, he still travels by horse and buggy over the county. His wife is the sister of Inspector Gurnett of the Ontario Provincial Police, and is an artistic photographer. Then, the article mentions the sons.
