Mary married James Thomas Welch in 1871 at St. Saviour's Southwark. They are my 2x Great Grandparents. I can't find any history of where Mary lived before the marriage, when she arrived in England or who her parents were.

Does her marriage certificate not list her father's name and occupation?

Sorry for misleading people
I do know that her father was Daniel Neil. I know Mary's whereabouts in 1861 and 1871. Daniel was a clerk according to what was written when Mary married

Assuming that she was Catholic, parish registers for Bantry are available at
www.irishgenealogy.ie
. Mary Neil is a common name.
