Can anyone suggest how I can ascertain who was living at 121 Matheison Street Hutchesontown Glasgow in 1882-1885-1888 ?

It might be too late for you, but the following link is the Post Office Glasgow Directory For 1888 - 1889, the relevant entry for 121 Mathieson Street is on page 144 and is the home address for a Robert Bone who is a currier and leather merchant (takes a while to load):

The 1884 - 1885 Post Office Glasgow Directory indicates Robert Bone:

Thank you very much Gaffy, the surname I was hoping might have been revealed is McGill or Magill, as my Grandmother and her 2 other sisters were born at this address ?
