I have coloured WW1 postcards of Black Watch, Highlanders and Gordons if they are any use to you.
I am doing exhibition boards for the local Servicemen and Women who served in WW1 too.....very rewarding...and sometimes heart breaking when you read the stories of those who suffered from Shell Shock and were admitted to mental Institutions on their return... many of them never fully recovered.
Carol
That would be fantastic Carol
We have been doing our rounds in The schools as well, they love the pictures, But when the artifacts come out the kids eyes light up, I had a full 15 pounder shell on the display at the Church hall after rem Sunday, the weight of it was disturbing, When people find out that THIS is a real shell and see the lead balls that where packed into them,It hits home. Wonderment quickly turns to dismay, when they think of the soldiers facing such instruments of death.
Any pictures to help us educate and show people the history, would be superb Carol.
Many Thanks
Matt
