although I have no idea how it would fit in with other facts and time frames etc. more investigation needed

I can see flora Stevenson leaving uk for NZ in 1946 and she gives her address of peters street Folkestone and she gives her ages as 55 so birth date of 1891. Interestingly she puts intended place of residence NZ so looks like she was emigrating there

do you have her death details and certificate?

so she would only be about two when agnes married bimfield. wonder where she was in her early years.

What records do you have of her departure from the UK?
I have looked in deaths, but I would presume that as she wasn't a NZ citizen her death wouldn't have been recorded in NZ.  Unfortunately our papers only go to 1935 - I will ask her Aunt if she has anything!  Can you see when she became Stevenson - marriage??

flora  is on outgoing uk travel list ( british pasengers embarking at port of London 30th may 1946 on the "rangatiki")  but the only detail given is what I have listed - there are no other Stevenson or lee passengers etc. actually I have just noticed something interesting on looking at  it again. under last place of permanent residence it has "other parts of british empire" rather than England , wales  etc. she must have come from uk though and must have been in Folkestone  for agnes death in 1945.

I cant see a flora?? marriage to Stevenson .

I was wondering if you can help me with where I go to get a death certificate for Flora Stevenson.  As mentioned in previous post she was killed in a road accident here in Christchurch (we think 1949/1950), as she was an UK resident I think her death certificate would have been filed in the UK??

A death in Christchurch would be registered in Christchurch.

There's a burial record for a Flora Stevenson at Ruru Lawn cemetery on 27 November 1949.

this puts her a little older than we thought. the only other thing is it says 26 years in NZ??
