Hello,

I have started doing my family tree and have ancestors called Patrick and Alexander
McMahon who moved to Hawick, Scotland .......they were recorded as living there in 1851.

They had emigrated from Ireland. I would love to know where they came from.

The both married girls called Ellen or Helen in Hawick in 1851.

Any relevant information would be appreciated.

Thanks
Brothers Patrick and Alexander McMahon born circa 1825 in Ireland.  Lived in Hawick, Edinburgh and Glasgow.

Parents Jane Devlin and Patrick McMahon.

Ellen Cannon b.1833 from Ireland married to Patrick McMahon.

Trying to discover where they came from in Ireland.

Any information appreciated
