Shudall Redmond families 1800-1850

Thanks.   I am from New Zealand - similar time frame to Aussie.   I have stories told to me by my grandmother and my mother has a memory of her grandparents from when she was a school girl, but there is always gaps.

Emily Susannah married Thomas Nock and  I know one of her 7 children went to New Zealand. I have been trying to locate that branch of the family.
She had a sister Charlotte May (Lil) Pearce who married Henry Barber. Their only son was killed at Gallipoli.
She also had brothers Samuel Alfred (Alf) and Redmond Bowell and the latter is my grandfather.
As I have not had 3 posts I cannot send a personal  message ( Stupid rule folks  )
I would like to get in touch to exchange information. Can you send me a PM else I will posts  2 more meaningless posts then contact you.

Part of the reason the rule exists is because there may be more than two people interested in what you say to each other.  PM is great if you are exchanging details of a sensitive nature, but otherwise it's best to do it on here so that now, or in the future, someone else researching this line can see what information you have been happy to share.  What goes around comes around.  Happy researching.

Hi Mekon
Thank you for that information.   I am going to talk about the family to my Mum when I visit her next.   Her memory for old times is still quite good and I hope to clarify some of the stories I had from her mother and fit them to the right people.
I am still learning how to navigate around the site.   Have posted a query for the Nock family - my great grandfather came to Australia from England and the family don't have much information about his roots.   So here's hoping

My uncle used to keep in touch with your mother and I do have a lot of information including the ones who went to South Africa and had an amusement Park. My Aunty Lil used to keep in touch with them.

I am enjoying using this site, though I can see I need to sit down and go through all the bits and pieces of information I have - I am in danger of being a confused mess at the moment .   I have notes written on bits of paper from phone calls to Mum and info I have had from cousins, so it all needs collating in to some order.
I am grateful to so many who are sharing their family history on this site - amazing.
