Death - Possibly Deerpack or Deerpark Aghalee. Antrim
« on: Wednesday 05 November 14 12:45 GMT (UK) »
Hi,

Looking for the death of Robert MacDonald born 4 June 1837 Aghalee Antrim. Robert married Elizabeth Rea 10 February 1858 at Lurgan Registry. Lurgan. Northern Ireland. The couple had at least 11 children, the last one Samuel MacDonald was born 21 June 1881 in  Aghalee. Antrim and his mother Elizabeth died 11 July 1881 in Aghalee. Antrim.
The name Deerpack or is it Deer Park crops up - which could be the area they lived in  ???
There are references to the family on pedigree files family search but really it is the death of Robert Macdonald that I am trying to trace.

Any help would be appreciated.
Thank You.

Thank You.

This makes a little more sense to me now- although the birth date varies slightly there is a record under UK, Royal Naval Reserve Service Records Index, 1860-1955 for the son Samuel MacDonald which gave his birth place as  Glenoay, (must be transcription error) County Antrim.

Can anyone see anything relating to the death of Robert MacDonald born 4 June 1837 Aghalee.
Elizabeth has died shortly after giving birth to the last son Samuel. Presuming Robert stayed in the area  ???

Same place Antrim Castle was  built by Lord Conway around 1664 and of which very little trace now remains lay in the townland of Portmore and in Aghagallon parish. On the other side of Lough Beg was the deer-park which as late as 1770 was stored with deers, hares, rabbits, pheasants, etc.
