Hi,

Absolutely terrific - thank you so very very much  ;D

Apart from a few odd surnames for the females which were really rather vague, had nothing at all on them. So I am over whelmed by what you have come up with.  Knew that James, and Joseph MacDonald went to Australia, William Robert to Canada and suspect Robert was in Barrow-in-Furness.
Not sure what happened to father Robert, presumed he stayed in Aghalee  ???  Knew the youngest son Samuel was brought up by relatives (although who - remains a mystery  ???) He seemed to go to and from between Ireland and the UK 1910 ish but never ever found anything on census for him. (His service with UK - Royal Navy seems to start in 1914)   Rumour was that he spent sometime in Australia but James and Joseph did not go to Australia until 1905/6 so haven't proved or disproved that.  There was a gap between 1912 and 1920 between the birth of children so apart from his Navy Service or during it, he could have wandered any where  ???

Hi,

In reply 14 you said " (Susan's story is quite sad) - note that she died 1892 aged 23 years and daughter Isabella died as infant.   Did the quote refer to the young age at which she died and also daughter Isabella or circumstances ?
Noticed that sister Sarah Elizabeth MacDonald/Tosh also died when she was 23 years  :'( 

There was another sister Jane MacDonald born 12 Sept 1858 in Aghalee. Antrim. Vague information suggests she could have married a McClusky (no doubt that surname varies as well  ??? but so far I haven't come across anything for Jane.

Looking at the dates for Susan's family is what I based my remark on-
1891 (1 Dec.) Susan McDonald married William Brown
1890 (11 Dec.) daughter Isabella born
1891 (16 Jan.) daughter Isabella died
1892 (14 Sept.) daughter Susan born
1892 (16 Sept.) Susan died age 23
1910 (15 May) William Brown died- possibly tuberculosis

Will have a look for sister Jane McDonald  :)

There were no sources for this info which I must have come across and noted in 2007.  There was a daughter Mary Ann Macdonald baptised 22 April 1860 who may have married Thomas Andrew Walker (1856 - 1830) .The couple could have emigrated to New Zealand in 1929 - that is also unsubstantiated at the moment  ???

Would appreciate any info found on this couple.

Another one seems to be Majestic Street Belfast - some of the male names would be the same as her brothers -IF it was Mary ?  Elder son born in the USA and the others County Antrim.  ???
