Crow Lane Cemetery Map
« on: Saturday 01 November 14 10:01 GMT (UK) »
Hi is there a map available for Crow Lane Cemetery or for South Essex Crematorium and Cemetery?
I know several of my relatives have been buried here and know their grave plots but need a map to pinpoint where these are?

I have also discovered there are other people buried in the same plots in some cases. Does this mean only the latest tombstones are displayed, or the older tombstones are still there as well?

Hi Keith

Welcome to Rootschat  ;D

I think you should approach the cemetery/crematorium office at the local council and ask for their help

https://www.havering.gov.uk/Pages/ServiceChild/Romford-Cemetery.aspx

As to the 2nd part of your question - if the people were buried in 'common' graves they will be with many other un-related people, usually 12 to a plot. Common graves are not 'owned' by the families of those buried and in almost all cases do not have headstones.

Hope this helps
