In Search of Dad
« on: Friday 31 October 14 13:06 GMT (UK) »
I am a man fifty-five year old man from Ghana. My father, ***** ****** from Edinburgh,Scotland came to the then Gold Coast, now Ghana to work in a Diamond Company in Akwatia. I believe he was born between 1930-39.He worked in this company till it was nationalized by the first President of Ghana, Dr. Kwame Nkrumah and he returned to the UK between 1958-59. I was born in Jan. 1959.
I went to check for information from the said company in 1983 after my mother had died in 1979 but was told all documents had been destroyed.
This scanty information is all I have of him. If there is any living relative who could help trace him, please contact me on (*)
Presently I operate a private school in Kasoa, Ghana and am a Reverend Minister.
Thanks in anticipation
William Akese.

If you need info for someone born in Scotland you will need to join http://www.scotlandspeople.gov.uk/ it is a pay per view website (for any of us) and for any certs less than 100 years old you will need to order them, older ones can be viewed for a few credits online.

Good luck

Carol
