Decipher WW1 group Egypt Frank Fitzgerald
« on: Thursday 30 October 14 10:20 GMT (UK) »
I had this image sent to me of our cousin Frank, he is the one with a cross lower right hand corner.  the other soldiers have names written in pen near their hats.  It would be good to find out the others names and send copy of photo to their descendants.  Hope you can help.  Let me know if you would like me to send cropped photo of each soldier as I had to reduce the image size to send this one.
Thank you
Merl

The top left (standing) seems to say P. Scarlet.  The guy sitting in front of him possibly says Figg (but I did presume at first that it said Fitz and was your relative?  The next guy at the front I think just says Kid.

Hi Shanghaipanda,
thanks so much for your reply, and the one who is my relative is seated on the other end of the one that says Figg.  There are 6 soldiers altogether 3 in front row and 3 in back.  Frank Fitz is the only one not with a pen mark but has a small X on his tunic.  I appreciate your help and may also go to RSL and with the date it was taken 2/2/1916 they may be able to help as well
Once again thanks for your help
