Replacement Polish WW2 medals
« on: Wednesday 22 October 14 20:11 BST (UK) »
A long shot and not even sure correct forum but am looking to find a reliable producer of replacement Polish WW2 medals.
My Grandfather Konrad Paszkiewicz flew with the RAF during WW2 and was awarded along side the usual British medals (39/45 star, Air Crew Europe star, Defence Medal, War Medal 39/45) several Polish medals these being Virtuti Militari 5th Class, Cross of Valour and 2 bars, Air Force Medal and 3 bars.
I have a set of miniatures of all (excluding the bars) - the originals sickeningly were stolen many years ago and are now no doubt split up and in a private collectors collection.
My question is does anyone know if or where it is possible to obtain replica medals of this type or perhaps point me in the right direction?

Many thanks in advance,

Ant

Hi,

This is a long shot too. I believe there is a chance that your Grandad Konrad Paszkiewicz might be my Grandad. My Father never knew his dad but was told he was in the polish RAF. The spelling you have is one of a few possible versions My dad was given shortly before he died. My grandma lived in Doncaster at the time.

Do you have any pictures of him. I would like to see if there is any family resemblance?

I carry his name in mine and my surname is my grandmas maiden name.

Thanks in advance Spencer Konrad Haynes
