Help with a Will 1560 COMPLETED with thanks
« on: Tuesday 21 October 14 11:39 BST (UK) »
Hello there

I have a will from 1560, for Thomas Tunwell of Fulbourn. It is fairly easy to read, which is a welcome change, but there is a section I need to ask for help with, as it could make quite a difference to my research.

I have attached the section that includes the lines I need help with. It is just certain words, but I don't want to mention them as it might influence how you might see them!

Any help very much appreciated :)

My thanks

Emma-Jane

L 1. "John Tunwell my cozen" (not sure about cozen because of the inital letter)
L 2. "all my hewen tymber"
L 3 "carrie me to the church"
L 4. two mentions of "a combe of barley" (a comb is an old English measure of grain)
L 7  "my land and tenements both free and coppie untill such time.."
