I am a descendant of the Black at Breich Water. My grandfather was Harry Black who was son of William Balck. William Black was son of John Black. John Black (1846-1900) son of David Black (1823-1898), David Black was son of William Black (1793-1844). William Black was son of David Black (1737-1809). David Black son of William Black (1694-1742). William Black son of James Black (1670). I've just started looking into my Scottish Heritage as I am also Native American. I would love to connect to any family.

I am also a descendant of the Blacks of Breich Water. My 4x great grandmother was Margaret Black, daughter of John Black and Catherine Leckie/Lockie. She was born about 1803 and later married George Hamilton of Lesmahagow, Lanarkshire. The family migrated to Argyll about 1850. Their daughter, Elizabeth Hamilton, married John McMillan in 1856. That couple are my 3x great grandparents. I lived in that same area until immigrating to Canada as a small child with my parents.
