Jim,
I think that your post there is based on wrong info but am not sure myself whether I quite understand.

I think the one you found born 1901 was married and had those girls, mentioned earlier, in Guernsey and the younger Cecil.
Older Cecil then marries Alice Burkill nee Petrie in England.

Younger Cecil marries Enid Johnson.

Meanwhile Ellen Bickerstaffe marries Philip Reid and has children.
Ellen and Cecil have a child who would be perhaps registered as Reid because of his mother's married name.

MF - it looks as though you would need to get info from Guernsey re marriage and birth of younger Cecil.

We can give birth of older Cecil and his parents, I think.

Thank you for all your help, it's just as confusing for me. I will dig deeper and try to find out exactly who he is. When I have done that I will post it on here and see if anybody can help further. You have both been very helpful though, but I think Heywood has made the most connections with my family.

Best wishes with the research. I am not at all sure that the scenario I outlined is right but the chap Jim found sounds right by name.
Please come back if you need any other help.
