George was the son of George Martin (a Master Saddler and Harness Maker) and Marian nee McLean.  He was born in 1891 in London.  He enlisted in 1914 with the 6th Battalion Royal Warwickshire Regiment.  He was Killed in Action on 01/07/1916 the first day of the Battle of the Somme.  He is buried in the Miraumont Communal Cemetery. France.
We will Remember him.
