Hi! I am in Dallas, Texas.  I do not know how to check back into parish records to follow these 2 families -- Baylis and Trimnell.  Both of the same parish.  have some marriage records from parish records,  but 2 dead lines.  Would appreciate suggestions on how to search records in England as you all (y'all as we say in Texas!) do it differently than we do!

Researching my great grandparents x5.  Mary Trimnell was born 1774 in Stratford Upon Avon.  She married May 29, 1798 Bejamin Baylis, Bachelor, and mary Trimnell, spinster both of this parish, by Banns, by James Davenport, Vicar.  in Pres of Henry Lathum, Wm. Edwards" from Warwick: Stratford upon Avon - Parish Registerss of Marriages, 1558-1812.

Believe Mary's father was John Trimnell, but the line goes cold with her.  Believe John was born before 1765 in Warwickshire, England.  (marriage records say "both of this parish") THIS LINE GOES COLD, CANNOT FIND JOHN TRIMNELL, but if from same Parish as Baylis?

So, we believe Benjamin's parents were John Baylis, born Sept 4, 1755, Birmingham, Warwickshire, and Elizabeth Smith.  Married: Holy Trinity, Stratford Upon Avon, Warwick, England, Oct. 17, 1774.

John was son of James BAYLIS, baptized, Birmingham, St. Philip, Warwickshire, England, April 24, 1731, with father Alexander.   THIS LINE GOES COLD HERE.

Any advice or guidance would be greatly appreciated!  Thank you so much!!   Sherilee/Texasflower76021 on ancestry.com

Using Ancestry, there is a record from the database "England, Select Births & Christenings":

Baptism on 5th June 1774, at Holy Trinity, Stratford On Avon
Mary Trimnel, daughter of John Trimnel

The Society of Genealogists has copies of Warwickshire Parish Registers, but see also:
http://www.bmsgh.org/parish/warw/tyaiw/tyaiwintro.html

Stratford Upon Avon PR's are also available at Shakespeare Birthplace Trust Records Office?
http://www.shakespeare.org.uk/home.html
Also on FamilySearch.

Finally, a note of caution! ;D
When, on a marriage record it states "of this parish", that does NOT refer to birthplace! ;D
It refers to where the person was living for at least the qualifying period when the banns were called.

Hi
There's a marriage between John Trimnil and Eleanor Careless on 5 Jan 1763 from the same source you quoted

This fits in with other baptisms

Elizabeth Trimnill 26 Jun 1763
Thomas Trimnill Apr 1765
John Trimnel 18 Jul 1768

all at Holy Trinity, Stratford

I'm using Ancestry, but expect they're on Family Search

Hummm... I'm in the US, and when I search these things do not come up - not at least in first 5,000 possible matches.  I have world ancestry too.   I don't understand why I won't automatically go to these wonderful cites you all mention, unless they are not on ancestry?  They are just buried from this side of the pond!  Thank you to any of you searching.  YOu parish record, birth, death, marriage, residence is all different than ours so it makes searching quite daunting.  Especially for those who don't know English geography.  REALLY APPRECIATE your help.  Would seem in these cities, careful and far-back records are kept, but accessing them from USA search is difficult.  //Thanks again my British friends! You are wonderful to spend moments of your short days to help me and I really want to say thanks and let you know it is very much appreciated!
