Hi! I am in Dallas, Texas. I do not know how to check back into parish records to follow these 2 families -- Baylis and Trimnell. Both of the same parish. have some marriage records from parish records, but 2 dead lines. Would appreciate suggestions on how to search records in England as you all (y'all as we say in Texas!) do it differently than we do!
Researching my great grandparents x5. Mary Trimnell was born 1774 in Stratford Upon Avon. She married May 29, 1798 Bejamin Baylis, Bachelor, and mary Trimnell, spinster both of this parish, by Banns, by James Davenport, Vicar. in Pres of Henry Lathum, Wm. Edwards" from Warwick: Stratford upon Avon - Parish Registerss of Marriages, 1558-1812.
Believe Mary's father was John Trimnell, but the line goes cold with her. Believe John was born before 1765 in Warwickshire, England. (marriage records say "both of this parish") THIS LINE GOES COLD, CANNOT FIND JOHN TRIMNELL, but if from same Parish as Baylis?
So, we believe Benjamin's parents were John Baylis, born Sept 4, 1755, Birmingham, Warwickshire, and Elizabeth Smith. Married: Holy Trinity, Stratford Upon Avon, Warwick, England, Oct. 17, 1774.
John was son of James BAYLIS, baptized, Birmingham, St. Philip, Warwickshire, England, April 24, 1731, with father Alexander. THIS LINE GOES COLD HERE.
Any advice or guidance would be greatly appreciated! Thank you so much!! Sherilee/Texasflower76021 on ancestry.com
