Marriage look-up John Jose in Michigan

It looks like Ethel Kitto on the draft registration card. 

William's border crossing from 1922 has his middle name as James and says he was going to join brother J. Jose, Highland Pk., Detroit, Mich.  362 Eason Ave. was written in.  https://familysearch.org/pal:/MM9.1.1/X2PR-S2X

I looked at the draft registration and he is the correct John Jose. His sister Ethel Jose married James Kitto in the US in 1929. I found details of that marriage in the newspaper FindMyPast.
Can't quite make out the christian name but surname is Kitto for the 'person who will always know your address.

Have you got an exact date of birth for William  There is a William James Jose born 14 April 1889 died March 1971 - aged 81 years - - Torbay Devon - 7a 2432  - could this be William

Thanks everyone for the information. So much in a short time. The only thing not found is the marriage of John. I see that in 1940 that John is 45 and his wife is 26 so there are quite a number of years between them.

I think that it is a sister to John and William Jose because there is a James Kitto also in the same graveyard and they are the right age for that family.

Hi,

There are no bmd registers or indexes for records in the USA. What is available varies County to County and State to State. Unfortunately there doesn't seem to be anything available for the time frame you require. Going through City Directories seems to suggest the marriage was between 1934 - 1936.

There's a marriage index for Gennessee Co. Michigan that seems to cover through 1934 here - http://www.rootsweb.ancestry.com/~mifgs/marriages/index.html - but I don't see them on there.
