yes lucy was a bevan before marriage. she was born 1873.dowlais. the 1911 census : Thomas William jones head born 1878 in fochriw.lucy jones aged 28. 11.martins row, fochriw. mary Elizabeth jones aged 5 and Maggie sarah jones aged 2. the reg district was Merthyr Tydfil ,reg number 590.vessel no 07, household schedule no 186, piece 32408.they married in jan/feb/march in Merthyr 1903. thank you

All the Clifford Jones marriages in Warks. 1935-45 have middle initials so can't be your Clifford.
1946/7 there are 3, 2 in B'ham & 1 in Coventry.
Looking at the post 1938 ER's has 2 Clifford Jones' without a middle initial. One of them also appears in 1935 so not him & that leaves just 1 in 1939:
Clifford Jones
276 Lakey Lane Hall Green B'ham.
In the house of John & Annie Evans.
No Rolls during the war.
Re. the 2 married in B'ham in 1950 1 is living in Perry Hill Camp Hut 1 ?? & the other is living at 86 Highgate St. Sparkbrook.

See my reply at #6 re 1938 death etc.  There are too many of that name to determine the right Clifford and that assumes he stayed in Warwickshire and didn't move elsewhere as an adult.

See my earlier reply above -where did his father die?  Warwickshire or Wales?
