We have helped you with John Joseph GEORGE previously and no birth registered in Tasmania.  What is the source of your information that he was born in Tasmania?

The source is from my mother who told me he was born in Tasmania. I know he was convicted of Bigamy via trove articles.

Yes the info about the bigamy was given to you on the linked thread.

There is no birth registration in Tasmania for a John Joseph GEORGE.

I suggest you purchase his marriage certificate which should note his age, place of birth and parents' names.  I have given you the registration number on the linked thread.

Well thank you Cando, I already knew I could purchase a certificate, I thought that someone on here might have some info that I don't. why pay for it if you don't have to? I will buy a certificate if all else fails. I find your replies very patronizing, I came here because I thought people might help me, not patronize me.

Hi there,

One of the reasons I would consider obtaining a certificate would be to validate information that I already know.     If I were to make a request at RChat I would not ever expect that any of the replies would be patronizing.    I do not read Cando's reply as patronizing you.   Rather I read it as being helpful, particularly in light of the info you actually provided on this current thread.

As your ancestor's birth was not registered in Tasmania it is impossible to help you with further details.  There are many online trees for this family and not one has the full date or full address for a birth for John Joseph GEORGE

Have you considered that John may have been born elsewhere and simply raised in Tasmania?

Does you mother have any other information about John Joseph GEORGE eg siblings etc. as we may be able to find their births, if any.

I note that on the electoral rolls his occupation was carpenter and bootmaker.
