In 1901 the Emily I found, right age, born right place in Kirkdale may or may not be the right one, however some of the names of the children are right, unless you have more exact DOB's and the father's name Samuel makes me wonder, also the lodger's name ... have you considered two marriages? or you might have the mother's name incorrect.  Do you have Emily's birth certificate which will confirm both names?

Emily " 1 " "
Joseph Hall Lodger Wid 73 Retired Watchman Lancashire Pilling

If you are positive about the month and year of Emily's birth then this seems the likely reference:
March Quarter 1900 West Derby Lancashire 8b 437
You can order the full certificate from www.gro.gov.uk

Hope this helps.

I think its possible you are looking for two marriages here, the name of the lodger in 1901 would seem as though there is a link between the Robinsons and "Hall" but in 1891 he seems to have still been married to Mary Ellen, and this will give you her name.  I think you might have to get a certificate for Robinson/Hall and I bet it tells you that Samuel was a widower!
