Hi,
are any of the above to be found on CD's for sale/look ups for the areas of Somerby, Borough-on-the-Hill, Knossington, Pickwell, Melton Mowbray and (a bit out of the way) Husbands Bosworth? Preferably up to about 1740.
Thanks
Sarah

Thank you. I think I'll have to make  a visit. I'm not being too specific and am just looking at what Knapps are in the area at the time.

Not one of the parishes you mention but less than 2 miles from Burrough on the Hill, I have an Ellen Knapp, widow, buried 31 Dec 1727, Twyford. No other details.

Added: Looking again, there are a few more with the spelling Knap in Twyford.  Let me know if you want them.
MORGAN: Glamorgan, Durham, Ohio. DAVIS/DAVIES/DAVID: Glamorgan, Ohio.  GIBSON: Leicestershire, Durham, North Yorkshire.  RAIN/RAINE: Cumberland.  TAYLOR: North Yorks. BOURDAS: North Yorks. JEFFREYS: Worcestershire & Northumberland. FORBES: Berwickshire, CHEESMOND: Durham/Northumberland. WINTER: Durham/Northumberland. SNOWBALL: Durham.
