I am surprised that you have not picked up on the fact that Joseph Pudney was a Waterloo veteran, a hero and much revered in Lexden. He was buried in Lexden. I live and work in Fordham, near Colchester, Essex and I am researching the men of Colchester who fought at Waterloo. I have a lot of information about him. Take a look at www.camulos.com/militaryheritage/waterloo/waterloo4s.pdf and, if you are in the area next 16th June for 200th anniversary, please let me know.

I was Born in linlithgow one of twins , my father was john (Jack) Ferguson Pudney  married to Grace .
we migrated to Australia in 1965 , my dad often talked about his brothers Phillip and Peter
he was youngest of 10 children
