Hello Dianne,  I have just found you post and can tell you that my line of the Dumbrells is from John Dumbrell b 1805, he is a brother to your Thomas. John married Martha Osbourne 1831. John is my Gr Gr Grandfather, his son William immigrated to Australia with wife Caroline (Langridge) and 2 children, Ada and Kate, they had Emily & John who both died as babies. It looks like they had a son Edward in England before they immigrated but he must have died. They had Wilfred, Jessie, Arthur & Gladys in Rockhampton Qld, Gladys is my Grandmother.

Dumbull and Dumbret are mistranscriptions for Dumbrell/Dumbrill. Try these.
