Daniel was born in Airdrie, Lanarkshire.  He tried to join the infantry but was rejected as being not up to standard.  So joined RASC/ Labour Corps.  He was my great grandmother's older brother.  We will always remember him.  He was laid to rest in Lembert Road Cemetery Thessilonika, Greece.
