I am a descendant of Susannah Barron who married William Pearey, it is fascinating that from my mothers side, I found out through my DNA that 25% is Scottish and 24% is Northern English, 1% Welsh, this information you have shared has shown me where my roots are from and why I love farming so much.

That's great. Susannah Barron is a distant aunt of mine which makes us closely related :)

Patrick, how close? It’s great to know that there’s family who cared for my GreatNan I was told she was disinherited as she was female and so married William for love, William died very young and it broke my family :(

Hi. My great-grandmother, Margaret Barron, was Susannah's youngest sister. My grandmother had memories of being taken to visit her "aunt Suzie" when she was younger :)

That’s great to hear that they stayed in touch, though it’s such a shame we never got to know any other family, I remember my nan taking me to visit two aunts in Pevensy Road Layton must of been on her mothers side, also the Quinns in Fernham Newcastle.  My one question for you is where does the Scottish DNA side come from is that the Barrons?  Myself I live in Wales but hopefully will be moving to Scotland in the New Year.  It would be great to stay in touch, if you would like to, make connections that seem to have become broken, I always wanted a large family :)

Hi Singingsonia- Not sure if the Scottish side comes from the Barron's.
