Tredwell/Treadwell family

Hiya all,

Looking for any info on Tredwell family living from 1780's in Chailey.  From mid 1850's most of family appeared to have moved to nearby Lewes.

Looking in particular for any info on Ann Tredwell, born in 1849 in Lewes.  She married Walter William Coombes in 1875 in St. Thomas in Lewes.  Also interested in any details of her parents George and Elizabeth Tredwell from Chailey.

There are 3 Tredwell Entries in the 1841 Census for Chailey, Do you have them?

Sorry for the delay - been on holiday for the last 3 weeks camping in South Wales and Roman Bath in Somerset.

1. Frances Tredwell, 17, Female Servant, born in Sussex

2. John Tredwell, Schoolmaster aged 50, born in Sussex

3. Amelia Tredwell, aged 40 with
    Thomas 15, James 13, John 11, William 9, Lucy 7, Charles 4. - all born in Sussex.

Dont forget all ages were rounded down to the nearest 5 (except children)

Glad to be of help

The Roman baths were great, but most of what is above ground is Victorian - that surprised us quite a bit.

We were astonished how hot that water is in the baths, and loved looking at the excavations of the temples and suchlike.

Even had some nice gravestones as well - couldnt read them though, apart from the dates and numerals.

Found one of my ancestors deep in the caves in the Cheddar Gorge - 'Stoneage Man'  - didnt bear any family resemblance though
