Can anyone help? The O'Hare family in Liverpool descended from Michael O'Hare (father's name also Michael) born abt 1849 in Co Down Ireland. He married Elizabeth McVey, also from Co Down, in Liverpool 1871. Amongst their children was Thomas. Elizabeth, a daughter of Thomas, is known to have visited the ancestral home in Ireland. The family suggest that the location was Newry. This of course may just have been her port of arrival. With so little to go on and such a common surname, I am at a loss for how to proceed. Any suggestions gratefully received, especially from persons who have established Irish links with such little information. The birthplace of Michael and Elizabeth is listed as Co Down on 1891 AND 1901 UK census forms.
