Jonathan Lansley Possibly Ludgershall.
« on: Thursday 28 August 14 00:22 BST (UK) »
Please may I ask somebody if they can find a Baptism for a Jonathan Lansley(Lancley, Lanesley) around 1739. He may have been baptized in Ludgershall or the surrounding areas. He would have been the son of Jonathan Lansley and his new wife Anne nee Cook. They married in Ludgershall in 1739. If I can prove that Jonathan and Anne had a son called Jonathan around that time, it will have collapsed my 15 year long brick wall. Many thanks.

Lainey  :)

Hi Lainey,

I'm not sure I can help but there is an on-line parish clerk for Ludgersall at this address;

http://www.wiltshire-opc.org.uk/genealogy/index.php/parish-directory/item/183-ludgershall

You may have to register first which is free, however, looking at the OPC site for Ludgershall it appears that this parish is the only one in Wilts who have not deposited their registers with the Wilts & Swindon History Centre.
This makes it harder to search and you may have to contact the  Vicar of St.James to enlist their help.

Certainly worth contacting the OPC first - they may have a few ideas.
