Hello, all,
I am new to this site and welcome the chance to chat with you all. My folks emigrated from Antrim in 1716 to Boston and settled in a place they named the "Lisburn Proprietary." Everyone there had to be a Presbyterian of the Scottish variety and of "good conversation." Apparently the name Crossett was originally duCrozat, a french Huguenot immigrant. I have no proof of this however, and I'm looking for guidance in how to pursue the origin of my people over there. Please share your wisdom with me. The wife and I visited Ireland 2 years ago but had no chance to do research. We were too busy falling in love with our ancestors homeland. She's an O'Connor. Thanks.
