Family likeness

RE: the 3 men in both photos. 3 brothers
These two photos were sent to me [by two different relatives] of the  Atkinson and the Troughton families; -if this was correct, they   would have been 3rd cousins to each other.
I feel there that there is so much likeness, despite the age difference on the 2nd    photo, that they are the same people.
I would value your opinion.

Thank you, very much
Carol

Hi Carol,

Excellent that you sorted out your posting problem :)

I hope you do not mind, but I collaged the photograph's according to your numbering system, to assist in identifying them.

I am no expert on comparisions, but the man on the left does appear to have some resemblance, especially in the eyes and eye brows. The others I personally cannot see any resemblance, but perhaps better trained eyes can spot the similarities :)

Hope this helps.

Kind regards

I personally don't think they are the same three men. There are many similarities, but thanks to the way George has arranged them, it is a lot easier to compare. The one on the left has very similar eyes, but they all have different sized ears and noses. I think all the younger men have quite long thin noses and smallish ears, where as the older mens noses are not as long and in some cases are wider and at least two of the older men have bigger ears.
I could be wrong though!!

I think they could be the same men but I would swap two and three around.

Comparing features I think they are the same men in the order George4 has them.......their ears would be bigger as they got older :)

Looking at George and Xin's order of photos I think first and last are the same chaps but unsure about the middle one ....
