The Shea Lawlors are fairly straightforward. John Shea Lawlor's full will is on findmypast. His children are also well documented.
"Mr Shea-Lawlor and two sisters lived at “The Rocks,” a little distance south of “Waldeck.” I had previously been present at the marriage of the youngest sister to Mr Freeman Jackson, a young gentleman settler who soon removed to Wanganui in the North Island. The two other sisters married Mr Henry M’Culloch (afterwards for many years Resident Magistrate at Invercargill) and Mr Henry Rogers, a runholder on the coast." "Mr. McCulloch had a very charming personality, courteous and dignified. His wife, who had been a Miss Shea Lawlor, was one of the most warm-hearted amusing Irish women that ever existed, ready to do a kindness to anyone, and of course often imposed upon. There were endless stories in Invercargill of her doings and sayings, and everyone loved her." (A Surveyor in New Zealand, 1857-1896)
