Bradley marriage
« on: Wednesday 29 June 05 00:51 BST (UK) »
My Grt (x4) Grandfather, George Bradley, married Margaret ??? sometime before, or around, 1792 (when first child was born).
Family then settled in Elham where 4 children were born.
If anyone has access to a Kent marriage index, I would appreciate any details which can be found about this marriage.

best wishes,
BC

Hi BC

There is a marriage on the IGI http://www.familysearch.org of a George BRADLEY to Margaret HAWKINS in Barham (not too far away) 1792 :-\

You can check whether this couple then had any children in Barham here:

Thank you so much.
However, I'm looking at 1792 not 1892.
I checked the lists, but nothing there.

Thanks again

Yes, I know.  The marriage is 1792 - my typo, I will amend it ;)

If they didn't have any children baptised in Barham then I would say it's a jolly good chance that they are your couple - Barham & Elham are adjoining villages

My understanding is there were:

George 1792
William 1794
John 1796
Thomas 1798

All born in Elham.
