Does anyone know from which street this photo was taken ? The chimney is Dixon Chimney at Shaddon Mill in Carlisle. I have had a look around the area but it has been re developed. Thanks.

It looks to me as if he is facing west with the light coming from his left side ie. the south.
With the chimney at his back I would guess he is quite close and to the west of the chimney complex.

He appears to be in the allotments to the south of the chimney.
