Finally found Edgar's marriage, this completes 4 out of 5 siblings
registered as just plain Edgar but according to WW1 records he is the following
Edgar Edward Maskell
parents George and Annie Eliza
siblings George, Harry, Jessie and Annie
address of parents 12 Basing Road which ties in with records
married Mabel Neal 12/04/1914 All Saints Camberwell

Still can't find Harry/Henry, do you think he married abroad and why use his mother's maiden name, intriguing

This I find very confusing specially in view of the fact that Harry/Henry is using the surname of Hudson

Marr 20/06/1880 between
George Maskell
to
Annie Hudson
St Saviour

then there is a marriage
Dec qtr Kensington
Annie Maskell
to
Alfred Hudson

I can't as yet find this couple on 1881

Do you think there was a divorce or split in this family for Henry Charles Maskell to change to his mother's maiden name ?

Hi LM,
Goodness, you have found some information which is brilliant !
I do find that James Arthur HUDSON is interesting is using HUDSON as a surname. Family gossip ? did say Henry Might have married an Indian woman, whilst serving in the Army. But that was all that was told.  ???
I did indeed request information a good while ago, & I have tried again on my own,, with no avail again.Just looking at my papers. On HC Maskell & MW Maskell marriage, in brackets is (name changed by Deed Poll). I found in 1901 census, Geoerge & Susan Maskell (George James father) they have a Walter W RICKWOOD, 15 Grandson. ???Now I"M confused !

As for a divorce or split in this family, I asked my mother, & she said, "She was told there was a big argument a long time ago, & that is why she knows nothing of her father's life."
