as my mother was born there a mccann.

 as far as I know, Forkhill C.I. records are lost for the time I am interested in.
What religion were your McCanns? If R.C. you might be more lucky!

My great grandmother Eliza Ann McNeill was born in Carrickasticken in about 1853. Her parents were Hugh and Jane Stewart McNeill. She had a brother Henry b. about 1847.
Hugh died about 1884 I think. Jane died aged 94 in 1905. She was still living in Carrickasticken.
