Private David Dickson Killed in action age about 16.

Hello, I was reading an article in last weeks Sun Newspaper. It had a picture of Barbara Dickson the singer, she was holding a photograph of her cousin David Dickson. David had gave a false age when he had enlisted in the 1st war, and he was killed in action aged just 16 or 17. I emailed Barbara because I had the exact same photograph, and wondered if were  perhaps related in any way. I am not to great with computers, and wonder if perhaps anyone can tell me anything more about David. Thanks for your help.

There's an article in the Dundee Courier of 9 September 1916 about David Gordon Dickson of Dunfermline, killed in action on 18 August at the age of 16, after running away from home to join the army and misrepresenting his age.

He served with the Gordon Highlanders and was the son of David James Dickson, 121 Chalmers Street.
