Mary Blake of Bacton Suffolk

I am researching my husband's maternal/mitochondrial line and have got as far as Mary Blake.  I know she married Robert Goddard in Bacton in 1830, and both the 1851 and 1861 censuses give her place of birth as Bacton.  However in 1851 she was 47 and in 1861 she was 59 .  She is my husband's 3xgt.grandmother and I am hoping someone can find a baptism for her plus her parents names.

Was she definitely a spinster at marriage (and therefore born a Blake)?  She'd have been about 27 in 1830 - quite old for a first marriage in those days.

Unfortunately I don't know, I found the marriage transcribed in the Suffolk Marriage Index and the status of neither the bride or the groom is mentioned.  If Mary was married previously and Blake is not her maiden name it could explain why I can't find her baptism of course.  And it can make tracing a mitochondrial line very difficult.  I have a similar problem on my own line.

Rosie, if you can wait a week or so I can look the marriage up for you at the records office.  At least the bride's status should give you something solid to work with.

Unfortunately I couldn't find a baptism for Mary at Bacton, however Jonathan and Sarah Blake (late Cocksedge) were baptising children in the parish at this time:
Sarah 25.2.1798
Elizabeth 13.4.1800
Ann 6.1.1802
Jonathan 29.1.1809
I checked those years between 1802 and 1809 (and either side) many times but couldn't find Mary.

It might be worth trying to trace Ann 6.1.1802 forwards to elminate her,  she could possibly have been Mary Ann , that was such a common name,  but had  just gone down as Ann
