Albert Watson b 1897 died 1943 (Anzac) Gisborne New Zealand married my grandmother Agnes McElney in 1924 in Belfast. On his wedding cert it states his father as George. but on his death recorded on forces war records states his father as cyril and his mother as alice from bristol. I am having problems trying to find alberts birth certificate. not sure if he was born in bristol or ireland as i cant find either. any help would be greatly appreciated.

There's an Albert Watson birth in Belfast Jun quarter 1898 but have no more info than that.

Also one in Armagh Jun quarter 1897.

Can't see him in English census or find English marriage for a Cyril/Alice.

Looking for Albert father George there is this family in Bristol in 1901.

George Watson 37 born Bristol
Minnie wife 32 born Belfast
Albert son 4 born Bristol

That's looking more likely isn't it with the Belfast connection.  By 1911 Minnie is a widow.

Thanks Millie for your quick reply. Looked in to George & Minnie and they are not related to me. The one in Armagh for 1897 has Samuel as a father and a mother Margaret. Dont think his name is George as I was looking at the wrong rels record
