Fred and Alice
« on: Tuesday 12 August 14 22:00 BST (UK) »
Hi there,
I'd be very grateful for some help in restoring Fred and Alice. Fred was my Great Granduncle who drowned in Penarth dock in 1920. His wife Alice was American. There's no date on the photo but I would guess it was about 1910 maybe?
Thanks in anticipation

Hi Kath and welcome to Rootschat....To do justice to your lovely photo it needs to be scanned at a resolution of 300dpi for best results...you can post a file size of up to 500kbs on here and yours is very small file at 22kbs. There is tutorial at the top of the board for guidance.

Thanks Carol - better quality image attached, scanned at 1200dpi, although the file size is still only 22kb....
Hopefully, someone will be able to do something with this, or at least tell me where I'm going wrong!

Thanks in anticipation

I agree with Irene on the Dpi...I think you have reduced the Dpi when resizing to post...here are the guidelines for resizing an image:
