Margarett Rees
« on: Tuesday 12 August 14 17:49 BST (UK) »
I am looking for a Margarett Rees born about 1640. I found the baptism for one that fits the time frame on the Mormon Church Family Search website whose father was Rees Evan and the location was St. Thomas, Swansea, Glamorgan. We have her Bible - written in Welsh - and it has her name handwritten and dated 1712, a couple years before she died, that has been handed down through the family all these years. I am wondering if there is a place I can find out if this family ever left Glamorgan for the American colonies sometime between her birth and 1660.
Thank you!
Susie

I am sure you know this, but just in case not - Ancestry.co.uk has a large selection of documents relating to emigration to America.

ADDED: Just looked on Ancestry and there is a birth for a Margaret Rees with Father Rees EVAN at St Thomas', the name has been modified to to read Margaret Evan.  I could not find any documents re travel to America.
