Henrietta Lancaster also Yates (nee Ellison)

I am searching for the burial place of my Grandmother, Henrietta Lancaster but known to us as Henrietta Yates (my maiden name). She was born in 1876 and died in Liverpool on 18 September 1950. Her common law husband was William Henry Yates who died in 1935 and is buried in Walton Park Cemetery as are their 2 infant daughters. Henrietta was married originally to Charles William Lancaster and they had 6 children

It is very difficult to find a grave when there are no surviving members of family to tell where they lie.
Cant help with that but it is worth noting that she is listed under both Surnames you have given in the GRO indices and it is also worth bearing in m ind that the death was registered in Liverpool Sth.
Walton Parochial Cemetery closed its doors to new burials in 1948 and most were then taken to either Ford (R/C) or Anfield (all).

Thank you so much for your response and the information provided. I will check Anfield as I know she was not catholic. Have tried getting info from the liverpool Echo but they simply don't reply. Again my thanks.

I have had a look for Henrietta Yates and Henrietta Lancaster and she is not on either record in Toxteth Park Cemetery 
there is a Henrietta Ellison aged 64 who died in 1898 .....

so - I would suggest depending where she lived in Liverpool you also try and research Allerton Cemetery ....especially if she lived in South Liverpool

She lived in William Henry Street but death certificate states that she died at 126 Smithdown Road which I believe was a hospital. As I live in NZ not sure what part of Liverpool either place is but Everton rings a bell

Yes ...126 Smithdown Road was Sefton General Hospital ....my 2 sons were born there ...and right next door is Toxteth Park Cemetery ...but in 1950 ,she may well have been interred at Allerton Cemetery ....my brother died in 1947 at Sefton General and he was buried in Allerton Cemetery ...
is it possible she was cremated ??  and not buried ? Anfield Crematorium opened in 1895 ..
