Hello,
I have quite bit of information about Rev. Llewelyn Lloyd Thomas, his two wives and 24 children, but I still have a few gaps.
LLT took over at Newport, Pembrokeshire in 1824, I believe. His first two or three children were born at Pencarreg/Aberduar, Carmarthenshire, so says the hand-written tree passed down to me.

I am looking for dates of birth and/or baptism for:
ELLEN ELEANOR ELIZABETH THOMAS born about 1821
JOHN LLOYD THOMAS born about 1822
LLEWELYN (PARRY or LLOYD) THOMAS born 1824 or 1825). The tree calls him Llewelyn LLOYD Thomas, but I have reason to believe he was Llewelyn PARRY Thomas. If he wasn't born at Aberduar, he should be listed at Newport, Pemb.

Any help will be much appreciated. Thanks.

Wow! That's fantastic. Thanks very much.

I've been trying to "find" Llewelyn Parry Thomas for ages thinking he had the same name as his father. I am well on my way with him since I found he died in New South Wales in 1905.

I just discovered the online Welsh newspapers and am particularly interested in John Lloyd Thomas who died close to Niagara Falls in 1849. My great grandmother was named Henrietta Niagara Thomas in his honour.

It's been an excellent weekend. Thank you
Richard

The Welshman
Friday, 20th April 1849
Family Notices
DIED
On the 27th of February last, at Danby House, Stamford, near the Falls of Niagara, North America, in the 27th year of his age, the Rev. John Lloyd Thomas, the eldest son of the Rev. Llewellyn Lloyd Thomas, Rector of Newport, Pembrokeshire. The deceased young clergyman was an ornament of his profession. Having given proofs of superior talents and acquirements he had been appointed “Travelling Missionary” in the Talbot district, on Lake Erie, where, during his short clerical career, he gained the hearts and affections of all who knew him, and where his loss is now sincerely lamented. We need not add, that the intelligence of the early death of this amiable and excellent young clergyman, has occasioned very deep affliction to his numerous relatives and friends in his native country.

Thanks. I also see information about Henrietta, betrothed to John Lloyd Thomas. She died in 1851 also in her twenties. I wonder what the cause was?
