Show he was seriously wounded from a gunshot to the head on the 3rd May 1915 and transferred to England per SS St. Patrick, his wound/s were such that he did not return to his unit until exactly one year later when he was transferred to the front line on 3rd May 1916.
He suffered another wound on the 21st August 1916 and subsequently died of these wounds on the Friday the 25th August 1916.
